Important Address Change Announcement

It’s official. The $tingy Sailor blog now has its own domain name, stingysailor.com. In part due to your nudges, I registered the domain name this week. You can now forget the wordpress.com domain part and simply type stingysailor.com in your browser’s address bar to get here. If you have the old address bookmarked in your browser, it will continue to work and will redirect you to the new address or you can update it with the new address. If you haven’t bookmarked this site yet, now is a good time to do it. Then you can get here with a click anytime you want. It won’t get any simpler than that.

I’ve also added a Contact page for you to contact me privately. If you want to reach me without leaving a public comment to a post, submit the form on the Contact page and I will respond to all appropriate messages. Some readers have contacted me through the post comments, which I must approve before they are publicly visible. I haven’t approved some of them because they weren’t relevant to a wider audience than the reader and myself. If you have a comment or a question about a particular post that could be useful to others, please submit it as a comment, not in an email. That way, others can get immediate benefit from your comment after I approve it or from my reply.

But if you have any kind of sales pitch, multilevel marketing proposition, SEO scam, spam campaign, red-hot burning chip on your shoulder, or any other intention that has nothing to do with the subject of this blog, don’t waste your time or mine. It will get dropped faster than a cotter pin overboard.

I hope the new domain is more convenient for you and makes it easier for you to tell your friends about it.

I’m glad you went ahead and did it. Some day I’ll be able to say “I was there at the start, back before he got famous”!

    Congratulations.
