Are you going to the Seattle Boat Show 2015 on Friday, January 30th? If so, and you’d like to meet up with other stingy sailors for a casual, Dutch treat dinner, join us at the Cask and Trotter restaurant at 711 Westlake Ave N (between Valley St & Mercer St) around 6:00 pm for some good BBQ, burgers, or brews. For other choices and costs, see the menu on their website.

We will even have a special guest. Tom Luque, the mastermind behind MastGates.com, and his wife will join us to demonstrate his new mast gate designs and answer your reefing questions.
Bring along your best DIY ideas to share, any questions you might have about projects you read about here, or just come and meet other trailer sailors from around the region.
Friday and Saturday, my first mate and I will be cruising around the exhibits, the boats, and a few of the seminars for stingy tips, ideas, and general inspiration. Whatever I find, you can be sure I’ll share it with you here.
If you think you’ll be coming to dinner, please use the Contact page to let me know how many people will be in your party so that I can get a table big enough for everyone to sit comfortably.
I’m really looking forward to seeing some of you there!
Really wish i could go, but that’s about 3,000 miles too far away.
Sorry ’bout that. I’ll be sure and let you know if I take this show on the road and come to your neck of the woods.
Hey $tingy, looks like I’ll be headed out to Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and do the national park/wild west vacation this summer. Are any of those close enough to get together? Would be great to see “Summer Dance” in person!
Yeehaw! You’ll have a great time. I haven’t been to Wyoming yet, but I lived many years in western MT and seen most of it, including Glacier NP and some of Yellowstone NP. Trailering Summer Dance over to Flathead Lake is on our to-do list, maybe for the regatta they host there. Supposed to be the clearest water you’ve ever seen. We sail predominantly in the (closer) north ID lakes of Lake Coeur d’Alene (with a world class resort), Lake Pend Oreille (our favorite and the sailing capitol of the Inland Northwest), and Priest Lake (almost wilderness). So send me a heads up when you set your schedule and we’ll see if we can be in the neighborhood. Would enjoy having you and your family aboard to show you some of our favorite spots!
